Happy Wednesday and welcome back to the Sew Yourself Some Love Blog Tour where we are featuring the Y Back Sleep Set!!!

So far in this blog tour, we've taken a deeper look at some of the fabrics that work well with this pattern on DAY ONE and we watched this pattern transform beautifully from Night to Day with Debbie Ann's post on DAY TWO. Today we are getting some more great inspiration from Marina!!!

This is Marina's first time guest blogging here at Winter Wear Designs and we are so happy to have her here sharing her gorgeous creations. You can follow her on Instagram (@marinamadeit) to see more of her passion for sewing!!!

About me: Hi, I'm Marina Turner- I am a furloughed theatrical costumer, and history enthusiast. I try to add vintage touches to my everyday style when I can, and sew for everyone in my family!

For my Sleep Set, I wanted a really vintage feel, so I chose this amazing blush satin!

I did NOT want to make satin straps, so I used fold over elastic instead of facings and straps. I simply trimmed 3/8" from the neckline (to account for the seam allowance) and added the elastic at a 1:1 ratio. The front is one piece of elastic, and the back is 2 pieces with 9" added at the front edge for straps.

This is a super easy technique that gives you a fun pop of color and takes almost no time once you get the hang of it.

Thank you thank you Marina for joining this tour - I sure hope we can entice you back for more inspiring photos and great tips in the future!!!

Make sure to stick with us all week long for more great makes and don't forget to get this pattern for yourself for just $6.50!!!!!
