I am giving you a closer look at our special bundle sale for this week:
The Perfect Trunks Bundle
2 patterns, just $10 this week ONLY!!!!

This bundle pairs together two amazing patterns: The Perfect Panel Tee and the Rover Pants&Shorts.  Both of these panels work for boys or girls and come in a size range of kids 1-14.  These patterns were designed for land use and pretty much make up the base of my boy's entire wardrobe and my daughter's T's - she has a favorite unicorn one that I swear gets worn every single week!  But in the summer, my kids wear swim suits just about as much as dry clothes.

When I first made the Perfect Panel Tee, one of my amazing testers made one in swim - I was all: 'Oh that is awesome, I'm going to make all my kids' rash-guards!!!!!'..... That was a year ago, but another year and another summer and my Bex really needed an extra swim suit to go in the rotation.  You all know the rotation, right.  One in the wash, One hanging to dry, One on your body.....jsut me....m'kay.... moving on....
So then this spring I made the Rover Pants and Shorts, and once again, one of my amazing testers did a version in board short fabric - I was all: 'Oh that is awesome, I'm going to make all my kids' boardshorts!!!!!'

and this time, I DID!!!!

Here is the great thing, I didn't make one single alteration to the sizing to make these for swim.  I just went with my boy's normal size blend, cut and sewed.   I did sew with a lightning bolt stretch stitch for the rash guard to make sure that he wouldn't pop any stitching when he pulled it off when wet.

For this version, I went without any sewn in liner - this child of mine is always bothered by that part in store bought suits, so I figured I'd try it without. He loves them and has has zero discomfort, YAY!  Now if you want a swim lining, you can just use the FREE Unders for Boys pattern and cut a lining out of power mesh.  Sew the underwear like normal without the waistband, and then attach them to your trunks when you sew the waistband on.  Easy peasy!
The only other changes I made were to add a patch pocket to the back and to add rivets to the pockets so that water could drain out of them.

This is one happy kiddo who loves his new 'Bullfrog' team inspired swim suit!

And as you can see, it holds up to whatever crazy antics this kiddo can throw its way.

So go catch this Bundle deal before it hops right out of sight!
