Hello Summer Blog Tour

Welcome back my lovelies and all those interested in sewing clothes for KIDS!!!

Today we have more great summer sewingto share with you from our amazing blog team.

First up we have Rachel of Violets and Jewels with two adorable sews for her girls. She has a great pair of Endless Summer Shorts and an amazing Fly Girl to show off. Seriously, you have to go check out all the photos and details on her Blog!!!

Next, we have Kristen Smith who has Hacked the All The Bells and Whistles into the most adorable Summer Romper - I mean, can you even!?!?!?!? The fabric is amazing and she's got all the info you need to pull this off yourself. Swoon!!!!

'Summer sewing for kids is frequently hard for me, since our summer is often only a few months long at best. We've even been known to get SNOW! I know, it's heartbreaking.

This summer though, I've had the summer sewing bug hard. I really loved the collar on the All the Bells and Whistles top, and I'm such a sucker for bloomers on little girls. I was feeling the need to combine these options for my best friends little girl, since I have three boys. She and I are total '80's kids, from Popples to Transformers, we loved everything. So the need was there to share this with M.

Since I had promised to make a romper for M, I decided to jump out of my comfort zone and make a romper from the All the Bells and Whistles top and tunic. It's going to be epic right? Cue Popples! After searching WinterWearDesignsFun group for images of Tout de Suit Bloomers too, I took the bodice from All the Bells and Whistles, and made a bunch of lines and curves, hacked off the collar corners, took some measurements and calculations and came up with a plan and eventually an extension of the pattern using the leg opening from the Tout De Suit as a guide..

The end result, my friend and I are so pleased with. And M looks adorbs. Win win!!'
